Working at yahoo
So I got a potential offer from Yahoo. With all the drama going on with the company, do you think it'd be worth jumping to? Numbers are great and I'll be in the advertising side.
I wouldn't. Go to a company that's trying to crack advertising like Snapchat or Pinterest.
Don't do it. There's no shortage of jobs out there. Yahoo is a sinking ship.
How much is Tumblr separate from yahoo, if you don't mind me asking? Also a sinking ship? Or a buoy in the sea.

Thanks for the insights. The double edge sword now is i also feel I'm being managed out atm with an uncertain future here. Would you suggest going into unemployment and taking my time instead?
Better unemployed than working at yahoo. Having Yahoo on resume would stink it up

while I don't encourage joining yahoo at this time I should admit having Yahoo on resume got me way more attention than when I was at MS.

Don't join Yahoo, it would have been fine in the last 2-5 years when a turnaround story was a real attempt, now it's just biting time until it's upcoming sell or worse

What type of role, what team, and ultimately what do you want to get out of it? It'll likely be a roller coaster ride from here on out. Also, this company is full of C level talent if you're ok with dealing with that on a daily basis.
