I have an offer from Rakuten Japan , Osaka office. TC - 7million yen. Can someone help me know a bit more about the culture and work life balance for working in Osaka office of Rakuten? currently - 9LPA India. SSE YOE - 3 years long term : Want to go for an MBA in a abroad B school. Need to money for that.
Get ready to work from 9-10 every day, 6 days a week
Have you worked in japan?
7m yen is really a low ball
What would be the right offer? Also is it ok for working in Osaka?
Lol, have you been to Japan? It's ridiculously expensive! Like shit quality beef is 1000 jpy and rental apartments are tiny despite paying half of your paycheck
Dont work in Japan unless you want to be worked into killing yourself. Work life balance is not a thing there. Its work work work work work. Japanese people are incredibly depressed and have an alarmingly high suicide rate because their culture shames them if they don't work hard. And hard to them is impossible
Which rakuten office are you in? From what I read Rakuten is different and the it has good WLB. My team is 30% foreign nationals. Also is your opinion based off the internet or are you working in Japan right now
The best way to know the answer is by experience it yourself. It's been sometime already, how is things going on? Mind to share?
What's your yoe and current city?
3 YOE currently in India
7 million yen is around 46L INR and cost of living is more than double there. You can get this much in india itself
