Seems like coworkers are organizing for better workplace benefits through Blind -- wondering how common this is at other companies? A friend at riot told me that Blind helped with their walkout. Besides compensation and career advice, has your company used Blind for more transparency/better benefits/change? Curious to see if others have seen this happen in their company channel.
Edit: Balls, apologies I replied to wrong thread and happened to reply to another Amazon poster. Sorry! I'm sure things are great on AWS side, that seems to be creating big dividends and financial cushion for them. But honestly on retail side it feels like the experience quality is degrading by the day. Sometimes I literally cannot find anything that isn't poorly QC'd Chinese dropshipped crap from a company that won't exist in six months accompanied by several thousand fake reviews. I tried buying a hand steamer recently, got sick of feeding urls into Fakespot and repeatedly getting Fs, and just paid $20 more for one at Costco. Maybe that race to the bottom is great for revenue growth, but it's increasingly reaching a point where I don't bother searching for it on Amazon unless I know very specifically which brand and model I want.
Same for me. My shopping at Walmart and Target greatly increased. I appreciate the curation and easy returns. Amazon also isn't normally cheaper than the big box stores for Staples. It's still cheaper for specialty products...or things I don't generally buy on a recurring basis
Same here. I also found quality of stuff at costco is way better than sh** i find in amazon.
Nice try, Blind
No people only want to complain and take no action
Love that!
People have literally left the company because of ongoing harassment from blind 👍
Coworkers organizing🙄 Someone posted a list of 13 demands as a follow up post. Ignoring discussion to frame it in a way that emphasizes possible benefits to the company. The whole is thing is a "I want, give me list". The company benefitting was deemed obvious, so excluded 👍. Zero leverage and a one sided requests. Good luck
Presumably the benefit is they have employees to work for them. If those things were such a huge benefit to the company outside of employee happiness they would likely have been doing them already
No, it does not seem like organization is happening on Blind. I doubt your claim.
What organization? Is it within Amazon ?
no one uses ours :(
Do you have like an internal version of your "tool" for hooking up with colleagues? I wonder if that's compatible with HR
I wish they did. The Tinder customer service stories must be amazing!
Riot's discussion on the walkout helped me be more informed and also understand the different perspectives regarding the issue. I'm not sure if it was one sided, but it was helpful to know how employees honestly felt about the issues.
Nerf irelia.
Yep better nerf irelia
