What are some stories about the worst clients you've had to work with? What made them so hard to work with?
At a prior firm, I had a client who would call me 5-8 times a day. If I didn’t pick up, they would call back two minutes later. The discussion points were often items that could have been addressed via email, which made it even worse. I’m all for talking on the phone, but I learned quickly composing thoughts in emails can save tons of time / make life easier
Clients that were coming from strategy consulting and that wanted us to suffer as much as they did. For us we were free labour that they had to maximize
I had a client who was going through a difficult personal time (her mother was incredibly sick and soon after passed away) and professional time (the company was going through major regulatory issues/hurdles and all the employees were stressed). She would let all her stress out on my team by saying really mean things. It didn't bother me too much because I knew that at the end of the day she was just having a terrible day, week, month, and even year.. but talking to her about how things make you feel was super important and helped the relationship get better

Life as an Indian is absolute hell
I’m only 6 months in and I’ve already had a client that would nitpick at the smallest formatting problems in my team’s deck. It was a literal nightmare.
