Currently working at a pretty small, not so well paying work place. Wondering if it worth it to move to cognizant and gain some experience there — I have a few friends who have done this.
No
No. If u get more than 100K base.. Then u can giv a thought.. But then u need to factor in job security since M level is very restricted in projects..
Where are you located and what kind of experience are you looking for? Definitely don’t move based on pay unless you have financial responsibilities and need that extra pay
Yes if no offers and better pay. Cognizant wont help in your growth much as most of work will be done offshore and you would end up coordinating as well for food part... Keep looking outside on side ;)
Yes and no. Totally depends from where you are coming. Cognizant has good learning programs and good immigration team. So u can benefit with that. On the other hand, there is a lot of regional politics and if u are not a Tamilian you can't survive in my project. so a major drawback there. Totally depends on where you are. Don't listen to the negative comments. Blind is full of demoralizing d***heads.
Good payer compared to other service companies.. as a company its totally manager driven if you dnt get along with manager you will end up struggling and frustrated.. relocation and immigration processes are streamlined. Learning wise dnt expect much you need to self learn. Worklife balance has been good for me. Bonus, hikes, promotion dnt expect much untill unless all you can do is slog for company.
I worked for them for 2 years, awful company culture
My experience was not good here I don’t recommend it to anyone
It depends, you should join if you have no other options. Better than other IT companies like infosys, TCS, wipro, HCL etc. if you have option to go to other consulting companies like PWC, Deloitte etc., then go for that.
No.
