What time do you usually fall asleep?
Not as an exciting company or work. Similar role, flexibility and benefits.
Of course. Is exciting work really worth 100K trade off.
So the new company is the less exciting one... but offering $100k more
You are missing his point. The new company is the one that establishes your value. So with that in mind, is it worth taking 100K less than you are worth to do more exciting work?
I would change jobs for better teammates
$175k to $275k.
Thanks - the best they'll be able to do is $20k. Have already asked.
I'd pick up trash on the highway if it paid an extra $100k
Of course. That is a step up from Microsoft
😂@ARJ
U are in mid 30’s . 100k post tax is 60k or so . Imagine accrual of 60k per year until you retire ... lot of money .
I'd take the $. A job is a job at the end of the day.
Yep I'd jump on that.
I would do it. You can always join another more exciting company in couple years or so and get additional increase.
I don't understand the hesitation. LOL
If it's similar and not more stressful, why not? If it's gonna be more stressful, I'd have to think about the impact on my lifestyle.
I guess the company itself isn't that "exciting." More under the radar and less budget to do major things in maket (innovation, leadership, etc).
I mean, it depends on you. So you value something exciting or do you want something you can settle with?
