Seen a couple of people who used to work for pharmaceutical companies move to JUUL. What's up with that? Is the pay that high? Who here would move to JUUL if they paid you twice your salary? If you moved to JUUL from a pharma why did you do it?
Not sure if I could ever work at a company like that.
Asks the Googler with a sense of moral superiority. Lol.
I do believe Google brings more benefit to society than JUUL. Not all organizations that are profitable have the same utility. Cartels exist but we both can agree they do much less good and much more harm than Google. JUUL is not as bad as a drug cartel, obviously, but point is there's a spectrum and JUUL is probably not towards either end of that spectrum.
And what if turns out Juul's product works safely to help people get over smoking if used correctly?
What was it for then?
What's the mission?
I have no moral issue with Juul (I think anti-vaping hysterics are r-tarded), I’m just not sure the work would be that interesting. For 2x TC, though, fuck yeah, sign me up.
Inb4 “Facebook is immoral, too”.
But does FB kill people?
I saw my own family members be able to quit 20 years of smoking using our products.
Evil. Injuries requiring double lung transplants in teenagers.
That’s rich coming from big Pharma.
🤷🏻♀️ sure, adverse events exist in Big Pharma but we’re making medicines for people with life-threatening diseases, not cotton candy-flavored nicotine tools
Wait do they really take in a lot of people who work in pharma? I should apply then, TC is shit here.
Yes they have research and also doing clinical trials so lots of pharma type jobs. Their employees made a lot of money last year because of the big Altria deal. But things haven't been going well since then with valuation cut by over 10 billion dollars.
But yeah we love taking people from pharma or med device. Lots of Genentech, Gilead, and abbot folks. And for what it’s worth, base salary and bonus (not including stock options/RSU) is still very competitive if not better than pharma.
No don’t think so.
Watch the documentary Broken on Netflix, it's a good input. Then decide if you would work for JUUl
