If they increased your TC by 50%? Is it a principle thing or a TC thing for you?
They are on the government watch list and yes
East asian here. Never ever work for east asian companies. Ie. Samsung, Alibaba, etc. So toxic with slave work culture
I'll admit I'm a TC ho. Go get the experience. The US is the biggest hypocrite and spy of them all. Look out for #1.. no one else will
If I actually held to my principles with regards to how my employer’s products are used I couldn’t work in tech. How’s that for an answer?
On a scale of 1-5 that’s an F5
Hey so fun fact about F5, the founders were cinephiles so the name comes from the movie Twister (sorta), referring to the Fujita scale. Remember this, if you ever work here it might earn you a bag of skittles at a company meeting or something /s
I was recruited by them and the moment I heard I’d have to take meetings or interact on the HQ time zone I bailed. Hell to the no.
I heard from my friends in Cisco and Qualcomm that they often have meetings with their India office at night. Is this norm?
I’ve never done this nor know anyone that does this at Cisco, but then again my circle is small. Ignorance is bliss eh? :) I’d never do this at Cisco either. I enjoy my sleep.
They are closing down Us offices and cut all US citizens. A toxic culture that better not set your foot in. Unless you want to experience communist environment. Benefits are horrible.
Yes they backdoor. They steal IP too. What’s wrong w u guys
I am wondering the same
I've had my coworkers show memes and pics of workers at Huawei where they have to sleep in office. That's really slave culture to me.
I was approach by a recruiter for an ML director/senior principal position, I wonder what TC they offer...
Can someone explain the whole “Huawei is bad” thing to me? Are they putting secret backdoors in their networked products or something? Why is whatever they are accused of doing not as simple as “ok, we will stop doing that” and everything’s ok now?
Pure propaganda. Germans found 0 spyware on Huawei, 10 instances of spyware on Cisco. EU didn't ban Huawei because America spies on them more than china. Trump declares Huawei as a "national security threat" yet calls off the ban this summer and trump is using Huawei sales as a bargaining chip in a trade deal. This PROVES the national security threat was a sham and every1 fell for it. Its only because people dont view Chinese people as fully human and the reddit echo chamber upvoting all things negative about China every day.
I don't know what planet the person above is on, but to answer your question, it's not quite that simple. All I will say from firsthand experience is that despite all the extra media attention they have now, they are still not anymore of an honest company, and neither is their CEO.
