I am working in Amazon right now and I got an offer from Bloomberg. I’m getting better compensation (35% more) and opportunity to learn new technologies. I feel I have plateaued in Amazon and not doing exciting stuff.
I am not sure about if moving to Bloomberg from FAANG will reduce my opportunities later since it’s not considered “core tech”. What have been everyone’s experience with working in non-FAANG companies? Do they feel they get less opportunities to interview? Do recruiters move FAANG candidates to top of the list?
Sorry for being so paranoid, but I hope the community will guide me the best. Should I stay in FAANG or move to Bloomberg?

(yes google is language agnostic and yes you can do whatever once you pass interviews. But still. So much core infra in c++, and BBG is the largest local collection of c++ devs)
Bloomberg will also help you get into hedge funds by educating you on finance jargon.
I hated it there because I wasn’t growing but my team only worked 5-10 hours per week.
Any idea about AIM?
