Have a phone screen with a hiring manager next week. The recruiter said he'll ask about my background and my expectations wrt compensation and culture. What kind of stuff do companies ask about culture expectations? It's been a long time since I last interviewed anywhere.

They wanna know if you're a good fit, questions will be about things like tech excellence, team work and collaboration.
I interviewed with Databricks last year, in the beginning they seem clear and nice, but then you will figure out how disorganized they are.
Databricks doesn't stand a chance against Google. Unless you're being PIPed I suggest to look somewhere else.
Run!
