I am planning to move from Amazon Gurgaon to Adobe Noida as my team has become a group of politicians. Does it make sense to move to Adobe from career perspective?

Wealth wise it will be an advantage only if you plan to come back to India in the long term (due to dollar to rupee exchange rate). Otherwise, if you want to stay in US only, then quality of life will be good but comfort wise India will be better any day for same job profile.

Yes, as of now Canada works better for immigration purpose. They tax you a lot, but, then govt schools and healthcare is free.

Yes, you can get rich being in tech in India as well. You will have to keep switching untill you land into a fang or high paying startup. I dont have much idea about MBA guys. My perception is you will get a high package only if you doing MBA from reputed college. Same is true for btech degree as well.

My personal advice will be earn as much money as you can by giving as much effort as needed till you are under 30. ofcourse, t Dont risk your health for that. After 30, once you are married and have kids, maybe you will like to live a more peaceful and stress free life. So, give your best and extra while you are still young.

If politics is driving you out of Amazon, Adobe is no better.

It doesn't make much sense. Adobe has bad quality of work in most of the teams, plus too much politics. Atleast Amazon pays better and has good brand value. Try switching in other companies - google, LinkedIn, Microsoft etc.

Adobe is way way bad in terms of work. Either you end up in c++ team where the work quality is atleast better. These people have made their dependency since the products are very legacy.
If you join backend teams, then god save you. The culture and work both are pathetic. Manager will make you his slave. He would think that his shitty work is like gold. All cloud teams in Adobe are very very bad. Amazon is way better than Adobe Noida. Everyone here says that Adobe was better earlier. Now external hires in top leadership have made whole culture pathetic. Because of that Adobe noida is seeing many good people leaving now.

Long story short, unless you are getting good hike from amazon, no point moving to adobe. You should have atleast money as a benefit while moving to this worst place.

Exactly. I was in service team. I should not even call it service team. It's like doing slavery of manager. Join adobe if you have expertise in desktop products and want to work in C++. Adobe service teams are full of politics

Completely agree. I interned in a frontend team at Adobe, my experience was much better than working here in a backend team when I joined later.

It differs by team and office location. But it is really good in general. I was part of security org and the things Adobe does is really cool. Definitely a market leader in terms of security. Adobe won many security awards for tools they built. Wlb and work culture is amazing. people are pretty chill and if you work hard, your work is recognized and compensated. Definitely different from Amazon. I think it comes from a tough promotion culture in Amazon(at least for my org) people backstabbing each other to make wins over other coworkers.
