I have been hired as a Technical Recruiter by this Bay Area Tech startup - it's a full-time position. Day 1 at my New job has been very weird. My role is hybrid and I was asked to give an intro during an online meeting. As soon as I finished giving my intro, one of the founders abruptly ended the meeting saying "see you all next week, bye!" and ended the meeting. It felt really awkward.
Later, during a meeting with my boss, my boss said that the founders are hard to convince and I have to try really hard and win them over in order for them to interview my candidates. I have 6+ years of experience in this field and I have never seen a company like this in my career where the hiring managers need 'convincing' to interview candidates.
Also, none of my coworkers want to add me on LinkedIn, even my boss. Is that normal?
What should I do?
Total comp: $122k
