My Experience as Data Engineer:
- 3.5 yoe in the banking sector
- Mostly Hadoop/Hive/Python/Sqoop
- Beginner GoLang
- Comfortable with SQL and always improving
- Reason for wanting new career path is for growth. I feel stagnant at my current position and want to be in a scaling env because I'm a very adaptable person. TC (currently $40k below avg) sucks for my experience and I feel drained because I know I deserve more.
From what recruiter told me, here is the interview pipeline:
1) Tech Recruiter (Done)
2) Hiring Manager (Scheduled)
3) SQL live coderpad or take home (not sure which yet)
4) 5 panel - 45mins each (not sure what)
Looking for advice on:
1) What hiring manager may ask?
2) Advice on SQL complexity for technical portion (I've completed all free SQL on LC and feel comfortable. Signed up for premium LC)
3) As far as the recruiter said, they dont see any Python or programming related (but who knows)
Outside of that would love to hear from current Twitch DEs.
1) What is something you dont like about Twitch?
2) Hows your work life balance?
3) What made you pick Twitch?
4) How has your growth been at Twitch?
5) Is your team open to remote even after pandemic?
Sorry for the long post, If theres anything else you guys can think of I greatly appreciate it!!
