A massive PM layoff at Microsoft in the making

Few days ago Microsoft split the PM role in several sub-roles. This is the first time in the history of Microsoft that the PM role is sliced. The CVP behind it is very keen on downsizing the PM orgs at Microsoft. She wants fewer PMs.

Similar thing happened when they split up the SDET role, and eventually they eliminated most of these roles.
