Due to attrition and great resignation a few employers such as Amazon are increasing compensation for existing employees to encourage retention. Is microsoft doing that too?

We asked, and they basically said โ€œNo, not right nowโ€. So everyone is leaving. Iโ€™m leaving next month myself ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    • If you leave, who do you expect to do your job? Better stay and make MS great again

    Was ๐Ÿฅœ before, is ๐Ÿฅœnow.

MSFT has nailed the art of delivering high value products while paying moderately.

Hope too many companies donโ€™t go that route.

  • It won't happen. It's too cozy. You can see this by the amount of people complaining about low tc and not leaving anyway. Like Google, they know most will stay and give ssa to high performers and crucial teams

    • Attrition is high but lower than the rest of the industry. People just like to whine a lot.

Does that not impact morale and performance of employees? I guess if manager is happy with your performance it does not matter

  • Yes they did for me

  • I recently told my manager I was leaving. 4 weeks notice because I care about the team. He said they would prepare a retention offer, but apparently it's held up by HR

I start every morning by replying to my manager's latest message asking if I've gotten the retention offer yet, because they won't even tell him if/when it's coming.

This company thinks it's paying everyone a reasonable amount already and is totally unwilling to even consider a market correction.
