Netflix has seen its valuation crushed with new players like Disney+ and HBO Go coming into the fold. This isn't too far off from what's going on in the EV space. With almost every major automotive company becoming major EV players in the coming years (BMW, Ford, Kia, Volkswagen, Porsche just to name a few) and even promising new companies like Rivian coming in, Tesla could find itself in a similar situation. Yes they have their existing supercharging network, FSD L2 (lol), and battery tech, but is that enough?

Why does half of blind dickride elon/Tesla despite all the rampant issues
I love Tesla, but Tesla in China isn't super competitive compared to other Chinese EV makers like NIO or Xpeng, which have equally good (if not better) tech and build quality.
Tesla is still at the top in China due to its marketing effort, but not so untouchable like it is in the US.
Why is Tesla still untouchable in the US? I feel the US EV makers haven't reached the maturity yet. They will just as Chinese EV makers did.
It's not the case anymore. That's why the mainstream Chinese EV makers will ship production models with Lidar this year.
Pure CV solution has been ineffective and error prone on Tesla. The advantage of Lidar is so big that Tesla has been testing it as well. But Tesla is far away from shipping production models with Lidar.
Once PE gets updated to reflect $7.37 from the updated previous 12 month GAAP EPS it'll drop to 137. Aggressive trend downward no?
also careful weighing PE so high on growth, amzn early on had a PE 3700, and fb 1400.
Other car manufacturers are entering the market quickly and aggressively so i think there will be a shift in a couple of years.
