I am going through an interview process at Xilinx and the HR is pressing me to give an expected compensation range before I move on to next steps. I would rather not disclose my expected TC and have them either match my current compensation or simply walk away without the interview process. So what's the way out here? Also, what does the TC look like for Product line manager (Marketing) at Xilinx and Intel? ---- TC: 250k YOE: 10yrs.
$250k is probably in line for a PLM at intel. Grade 9, $180k base, $20k stock, $50k bonus. If you have some specialty they want to bring in, you could get to that $300k level as a grade 10, but you'd need to have something to justify it.

just give them a high expected number, like 20% hike to 300k. Expect high doesn’t hurt, expect less will hurt you.
