Hey if fixing a bug increases customer satisfaction, that's impact right there. If a bug fix makes a system more reliable and prevents revenue loss, increases productivity etc, it's all consequential.
Before fixing a bug, understand why it's important - if you can't get a good answer to that question then there's trouble. Usually your tech lead should be able to tell you exactly why it's important.
Think about it another way, every product has a bug backlog that has hundreds of bugs - what makes this bug more important ?
