There is little to no incentive to purchase an extra set of file syncing. Bigger companies like google and Microsoft cam control the pricing and push out nit players like dropbox.
For me, the last time I used dropbox for anything was 2012. Since then google drive and one drive have come a long way.
File storage/sync is just the entry point into the rest of the collaboration workflows. Plenty of business customers disagree that GDrive or Onedrive meet their needs. Don't need average jo consumer to validate that.
