Those who recently cracked e6, can you please share your preparation? what all you studied and practiced? how long does the prep took? any paid sites that are helpful to boost up prep?

First off -- if you're not really E6, there's no amount of prep that will bump you to E6. Also, if you're not really E6 and you do somehow get lucky, you will struggle and fail. Facebook will manage-out engineers that are not succeeding. If you really are E6 and you get an E6 offer (lucky you), you will still struggle and a good chance of failure -- I recommend you find a team that lets you leverage your strongest skills and has room for leadership. All E6+ roles have high expectations of leadership, especially on external hires. For those that leveled up to E6 internally, they likely found some cozy spot that let them fill in the gaps. All those gaps are filled -- you will need to make new gaps for yourself and fill them :)

Honestly, if I had to do it all over knowing what I know now -- I'd pass.
20 years of experience, L7 at my previous job.

Having said all that. All engineers are expected to nail the algorithmic interviews. E6's must nail the design interview and should have some former leadership experience.

To nail a design interview, you don't just get the right answer, you must go beyond the right answer with exploratory ideas and the ability to confidently defend your ideas. Drive the conversation and be very comfortable in a whiteboard design situation.

Expect a base salary of 210k to 220k.
    Expect a bonus of 20%.
Expect an initial RSU grant of 500k to 1M.
Beyond the initial grant, you will receive 200k annual refresher RSU grants.

Ignoring initial grant, this is a TC of about 460k.

    Good luck.
