How much preparation is needed to get success in Google and Facebook for E5/L5 levels , along with full time job , I don’t have very good wlb, but decent. How many hours do you all put for study everyday or only weekends?
Also if someone can mention how to prepare for system design that would be really great , Thankyou

    System Design: Read blogs on each topic(for in depth knowledge). There’s a guthub repo also.
    YT: SystemDesignInterview, there are others also(to learn how to go about a que in interview)

    Note: I have less than 2 yoe but have researched on all this. Maybe someone more exp might suggest something better

      That is only true if you stay away from cloud.

      Ads, Search has some good teams with challenging but stable work. Cloud has no G culture at all due to the extremely fast hiring in the last 2 years. It's half Amazon half Microsoft/Oracle. Chaos and politics. Very less number of tenured googlers.

    • @MovingToUK is kind. But the reality is little different. Uber L5a is scope and impact wise same as Google L5. L6 is proper tech lead and generally Google L6 are 13 or 14 yoe plus or even more senior. Exceptions exist for sure. But it all depends on the impact and influence OP has created. If he has many cross team impactful project at any yoe, he is good to go for L6. Else L5 is the only option. As you go high, your leveling becomes tough and depends on scope and impact, not alone on TC especially big tech company like Google or Uber.
