Ok so I have been listening carefully for the past 2 years to both sides. I’ve tried to stay as open minded and unbiased as I could. But I have to admit, in conclusion getting vaccinated is a far better rational choice. Here are my notes so far:

- Everyone will eventually get covid unless you live in a cave

- Data shows significantly less hospitalization for the vaccinated than the unvaccinated (for sake of being accurate, I don’t have the numbers handy but you can look it up).

- Furthermore, the average statistics show that death is about 100 - 1000x more probable for the unvaccinated than of dying from vaccine complications across all demographics.

- Although it is true we don’t know the long-term implications of the mRna vaccines, it is nevertheless a 30 year old science. You can also make that argument for other new pharmaceutical technologies.

- We also now have a cohort of a billion people who are vaccinated and can be used as scientific data.

- For people who claim that vaccines like pfizer and moderna are too new to be trusted, why not use older vaccines? Like the ones chinese or russians use? Basically any that injects a mutated or dead virus into your system?

- Short term side effects like myocarditis do exist, but they are so rare and insignificant statistically speaking in relation to serious hospitalization/death of the unvaccinated population. This is ignoring the fact that Covid itself has shown to produce these side effects.

So where is the logic to stay unvaccinated? If you want to argue pure statistical numbers, that’s the easy part. We can just look it up. But from a logical stand point — unless you have a political or religious motive to not get vaccinated— you are just betting against the odds.
