I see a lot of people earning money through youtube channels. (Phone reviews, Primitive Cooking, Brusting Crackers, Toy Reviews, Travel Blog) and here I am struggling to solve Leetcode to get into FAANG to earn a decent salary. Considering only earning money is the moto, how do you compare our job as Software Engineer Vs Youtubers. Is it worth working so hard, considering constant learning, outstanding by putting a lot of effort at the workplace, dealing with office politics, etc... Vs Working at home filming unboxing videos. I am sure we can review it better than those who don't have a tech background. Starting a YouTube channel is like a startup - most fail and a few hit it big.
Sorry to break it to you but starting and maintaining a successful YouTube channel is much harder than working at Dell!
Its harder than getting into any tech company
There are way more software engineers than successful YouTubers, and at every percentile they probably make a lot more money than YouTubers, and you think YouTube is the easier path to money? wut? Also cranking out videos that people are interested in every week or day is a huge amount of work which you’re underestimating
There’s probably like a few thousand YouTubers who make more than a good software engineer
Comparing 🍎 with 🍊?
The problem is, the opportunity cost of doing YouTube as a long term career is daunting. The fewest of few will be around 10 years from now.
Geez, pop stars sing and dance for 4 mins per song and made millions... why just pick on youtubers

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
The answer is obvious, but if you don't see it I doubt programming is for you.
Please note: "Considering only earning money is the moto.." I love coding but it's not as easy as what they are doing... Also, software engineering is not only about programming as you move higher level.
The only thing people who win the lottery do is buy a ticket. That seems like your best money:work ratio under your rubric, so I think that’s gonna be your safest bet.
