Got an offer for a remote role at Salesforce (home office would be in Dallas). For those who made the move from Bay Area to Dallas - any regrets? My current company is forcing RTO but I refuse to pay so much to rent out in a Bay Area suburb (pleasanton). COL is 55% less in Dallas than it is in the Bay and the remote role offered will be a 17% pay cut. Should I stay in the bay or move to Dallas? Please comment any insight especially if you’ve made this move before or know of someone who has! Also, I’m not into nightlife or any of that - I’ve never partaken in any of those things while in the Bay Area so I’m totally ok with the Texas suburban lifestyle. #tech #salesforce #dallas #bayarea #texas

I personally love Dallas and you keep exponentially more money in the bank. You will make significantly more money than most everyone here. It's an amazing city to live in and if your tc is $300+ you will be able to live just about anywhere you want.
I currently lease an insane 3,000 sq ft home in a perfect location for $2,500 a month for reference. A place like mine, interior included, would probably be north of $5-$6k a month in the bay if it even exists.
