Trying to gauge people's thoughts..
I see the pros and cons as follows:

🏨 Hotels:
Pros:
- tighter control on cleanliness
- maybe cheaper due to less demand?
Cons:
- too many ppl in same building, lots of shared common spaces. Centralized air conditioning linking all rooms (high risk)
- end up eating outside or having to go out (no kitchen)
- most of the money goes to hotel industry

🏠 Airbnb
Pros:
- you can book entire home to yourself. More isolation
- there is 24hr gap between stays i.e. the last person who stayed at the same place was 24hrs ago.
- more stringent cleanliness policies enforced and you can see this on your listing to check if the host is complying with the policy.
- majority of the money goes to regular people like you and me, helps the economy

Cons:
- harder to control cleanliness compared to hotels (hoping the 24 hr gap would alleviate this concern since virus doesn't last that long on surfaces)
- maybe expensive to rent entire home in certain areas?
- arguments on Airbnb disrupting communities and rentals, displacing people from their own homes.

Keeping above points in mind, what are your thoughts?

Note: hardcore anti-airbnb folks can skip this since you guys would any way not stay in an Airbnb pre-covid. This discussion is geared towards people who have stayed in an Airbnb or have a positive or neutral opinion on it.
