Few years ago, I was an L6 in Amazon, in a role with a good trajectory towards PE. Then some political shit within the org happened, and I moved to another org, only to realize that the new org didn't really have the scope for anything above L6.
Given the circumstances, I decided to leave Amazon and moved to an E6 in Meta. Now it hurts seeing on LinkedIn all the Amazon PE promos :/. I feel like Amazon PE is one of the more respected roles in the industry, and while I know that objectively Meta E6 is not bad, it is nowhere near Amazon PE.
Please don't say that this whole "promo race" is stupid. I know it myself, and still that doesn't make me feel better 😞.

On a side note, how are you liking Meta compared to Amazon? I’ve heard Meta E6 is brutal the first couple years.
I imagine L7 at amazon is still around 2%
