When will any company make a smart watch that will also serve as a medical product? Eg.- heart-beat monitoring with medical claims (not just fitness focus), stress indicator, glucose levels etc etc.
When they can do so without the FDA jumping on their case.
There's a rumour that next apple watch will be able to monitor blood glucose levels.
Pretty sure Verily has one in the works :) https://blog.verily.com/2017/04/introducing-verily-study-watch.html?m=1
my father is diabetic and lives outside US. I wish I could get him something that can track his levels and give him warning about sugar level spikes. usually when he has to fix his levels, they have already spiked up or are down to very low levels. he uses the prick to get random levels, but then they are both invasive and can't show without multiple pricks as to whether levels have stabilized. note that he is not too high in the radar to inject insulin everyday (he uses tablets), but may get his organs into trouble with these spikes. I would also wish they were non invasive and easy to maintain and cheap to run (not 100$ a month to maintain).
I want one for the same reason too!
