Is your current job terrible? 17k difference is pocket change. TC seems right at market for enterprise at a startup. Good transition to AWS or GCP after a couple years. Enterprise at AWS is around 350-450k TC.
You’re right, def pocket change. But, I’m an L8 IC rn and 263 is the highest OTE I’ve ever seen at any company in my sector (life sciences/biopharma) That’s what I’m thinking re: transition to AWS or GCP. One step back in title and role, 4 steps forward in a couple years in comp. Have never seen TC in life sciences/ biopharma close to anything the top IC sales people are making at plan in cloud SaaS. Capital isn’t scalable. Tough to break into SaaS when all the experience is in capital for biopharma R&D and Manufacturing. Any advice for a seasoned technical seller about to enter SaaS?
Thats pretty damn good for a 600k quota. I have a 1.2MM quota for 260 OTE
600k yr 1 during “onboarding” period. 1mm+ year 2. Do SaaS sales companies do guaranteed quarters? I.e. have always gotten 1-2 quarter commissions guaranteed during year 1 at a new org.
What does the Startup do? 280k OTE is average. How easy to hit that quota. How much money have they raised? Who's funding? Any tier 1 VC firms? Do you get equity?
