Been almost a week and half and still no word from recruiter. I thought I did extremely well, and had a great back and forth discussion with the engineer on his follow-up questions.

I already sent out one email and no response yet. Advice on what to do? Give up?

Edit:
Such a shame! I had such a high opinion of Dropbox after speaking with the recruiter and the interviewing engineer. And then to be ghosted... ๐Ÿ‘ป

Iโ€™d give it a bit more time. Right now I think recruiters are scrambling to figure out how to do virtual onsites due to coronavirus. Give it another week or so, and donโ€™t be shy about pinging your recruiter every few days or so

agreed. feel free to email the recruiter asking for an update. generally if itโ€™s a no, you hear back right away. and like the other dropboxers have said, sorry this has been your experience . whatโ€™s the role??

    • +1 recruiting is super busy trying to figure out remote interviews plus many are parents and struggling to work from home, take care of kids, and keep up with work. Just keep emailing your recruiter.

Im unhappy with our RCs right now. There's been some great candidates I interviewed over a months ago that i gave a "strong yes" for, only to see no updates whatsoever.

Im sorry this is a shitty experience for you, most engineers try to fill in their feedback within 1 day of the interview but we dont know why it takes recruiting so long to get back to people.

Donโ€™t blame the RCsโ€” this is on the recruiter (or in some cases the sourcer). All the RC can do in this situation is ping the R/S to follow up with the candidate, and thatโ€™s assuming the candidate has been directly following up with the RC as well.

  • You failed to meet their expectations. Why not ZG? Amazonians do pretty well here.
