Hello,

I see that Google early career (1-3) YOE app opened. What’s the difference between this one and early campus? I’m assuming early campus is just for new grads and early career is for industry hires?

Does anyone know if resume screening is just as bad for early career as it is for campus? And with strong performance, is it possible to get L4 at Google even with only 1 YOE?

Thanks so much in advance!

    No.
I have seen people with 3 year exp working as L3.
But if you exceed performance after joining they’ll easily promote you.

Early career is the new umbrella term Google is using for their 0-2 YOE hiring pipeline, so it applies to new grads and more generally new entrants to the field who come from non-traditional backgrounds. I think this listing is for that same pipeline, just that they're not looking to get more new grads in at this time. The screening for this listing is going to be identical to if you applied for the 0-2 listing so don't expect any reprieve there.

Contrary to Blind discourse, you can actually get L4 at Google if you're interviewing for these listings. You do need strong interview performance, and at least 1 YOE or an advanced degree (masters or higher), and overall you need enough experience on your resume that the hiring committee would be comfortable giving you an L4 offer. Otherwise just ready for L3.

Would also like to know how your experience was so far OP. I saw this posting closes on March 25, does anyone know if they will have another round later this year (summer/fall) or is it once per year?
