All I hear is failure stories and no success on the FB DS Product Analytics role. Anyone here has successfully cleared the interview ? #facebook# Datascientist
I got past phone screening and failed first technical interview. I requested feedback and I didn't deep dive much during my explanations. They wish I were more technical and describe exactly each step. I feel they wish you to behave exactly as the video examples so if you answer something shallowly they might pick on it. Currently I'm in a management role and maybe going to a IC role could be not as meaningful as before to me, but I definitely failed.
I'd say during the phone screen interview you must describe your experience and what you do in a daily basis. During case interview you must be the tech guy 100%. As they throw in the problem you'll deep dive on each step of the process.
Do a search for 'fb analytics' on blind. Tons of people have passed it and gotten offers. I recently got an offer and the recruiter told me the pass rate for initial technical phone screen with ds team (ie the call after the first recruiter screen) is 20%. For onsite, it's something like 30%. So definitely not impossible to get an offer.
