Ever since I got my Google offer and shared it with people at work and friends in tech, I always get funny reactions like « Whaaat? »
Professionally speaking is Google the target 🎯 for you to say « Arrived, I won’t move from here » ?

I unintentionally found what I really wanted. So my plan is indeed to stay to enjoy this.
TC: 525k 15 years, mid-management
I think after 8-10 years experience, the demand from mid-size companies increase astronomically. It’s really hard to find high level folks with good resumes that have good experience and are not complacent to not look outside.
Staff level folks probably could get quicker principal+ promotions. And Managers could get to mid-management+ easier compared to FAANG.
The main thing I would look for is, is the company at a hyper growth stage, that’s when the demand for high level folks increase immensely.
And for many people who have ended up at Google, there's come a time where Google isn't right for them, and so they've left. The notion that any one employer is "the end of the game" is pretty narrow-minded if not asinine.
