Oh...I just realized you are probably thinking about comp falling after the initial grant is fully vested.
A "1 year cliff" just means none of your rsus vest until after a full year, then it's monthly or quarterly after that. This is the most common vesting schedule. Some companies did away with the 1 year cliff and vest immediately (monthly or quarterly). You're talking about something else which is not called a rsu cliff.
