So I have an offer to return to Amazon full time after my internship, BUT after interviewing around at multiple top companies Ive encountered a frightening revelation. Ive had tons of interviews and yet I'm not able to land offers due to always fucking up the coding parts. My Amazon interview was a joke by comparison.

Am I totally screwed going forward? I'm terrified at the thought of having nowhere to go to after the first few years at Amazon due to my lack of interviewing skills. Of course Im not planning on staying at Amazon for long. Nobody does. So I need to be able to land other offers. Will I have to downgrade my job prospects to average tier companies??

Honestly these thoughts keep me up at night. I only made it this far due to a fluke. Am I actually stupid?? I'd like to stress I'm a good engineer/employee.

I failed almost all of interviews as a new grad, got only couple of offers out of 40-50 companies I’ve applied to. You always need a tiny bit of luck. Don’t lose a hope!

Stop looking up the answer. Study with a friend who won't let you cheat if that helps

    • It's great if you can remember the solution from before. There 's not many questions interviewers can invent

You are not screwed. Continue to learn and grow. Both within Amazon in your position and external to Amazon. There will be offers later on.

You have to practice a lot to pass for even one fifth of interviews. Tech is easy for some but hard for most. Demand is strong but it is strong only for people who spent months for practicing coding questions. This is not related to your actual coding skills. It is the same thing for experienced engineers. They have far better skills but they are not better than new grad at this interview. So don't be discouraged. Supply is plenty and people are still delusional that you can find job easily. No, you can find it only if you have practiced for months. Even the people who went to F and G failed a lot. Interview is harder than many people think.

Just keep practicing while working at Amazon. In the worst case, you can go to grad school to buy more time when you want to quit Amazon.

Amazon full loop intetview is just as hard. Internship is the easier way to get in for new grad. You need to brush up leetcode to pass interview. That's all.

Take the gig at Amazon. I find it is easier to get a job when you have a job. Bird in hand....
