Zillow Group vs Blink Health
Zillow P4 Base: 180k Stocks: 250k over 4 years Sign on: 90k over 2 years TC: 287.5k for first 2 years Blink Health Senior Software Engineer 2 Base: 200k Stocks: 7500 options Sign on : 50k over 2 years Cash TC: 225k for 2 years Both companies in Seattle Current TC: $220k 8 yoe Currently Blink health stock option valued around $30. From what I understand , they will raise another large round of atleast $200m soon . Their last round of funding was in 2017 for $90m. I looked at the online pharmacy space, and there seems to other players like Capsule that raised $200M recently and other coupon based apps like GoodRx, Roman etc.. I have doubts if Blink Health is going to go public; since its not an easy feat in a crowded marketplace. Acquisition the route of PillPack seems likely According to my calculations, if they raise another large round that will double the unit price. With that much capital, what are the chances that the company will just die ? From what I know, it might get acquired at a price less than current valuation, but shouldnt just die. So, I guess whats the worst case scenario. Interested to know from people in late stage startups. Can i assume that I will get atleast the current stock price; if not higher in case of an exit ?
Do your research on funding status. Things might have changed since the last time you heard. You may be able to negotiate a bit more cash with Blink given that you have a better offer with Zillow, if you are interested.

Zillow is a known brand paying more and your colleagues are former MSFT/Amazon/Google/FB employees and some new grads. How about Blink Health?

If you are leaving Amazon due to its work culture, I will stay away from a company that has most of its employees from Amazon. You will end up in same place.

Go with Zillow. "We are raising another large round" means they are trying and failing to raise, and may have already been failing for a year. Don't join unless they sign all the paperwork and it's official. Even then, it would be a dubious decision to pick options over cash. This is startup BS filtering 101.
