@OP they’re known for gating reviews behind payment. Meaning if your restaurant has 100 reviews totaling 4.9/5, they’ll show maybe 25 reviews totaling sub 3.5, sub 4, etc, unless you choose to be one of their advertisers.
Google, Facebook, and travel advisor, on the other hand, don’t touch that shit. What you see is what you get.
So it’s not about paying to augment your profile and ratings. It’s paying them to not make it seem like your reviews are shit. Those are two meaningfully different things.
