I am going to offered a hardware systems engineer positon at zoox at their “level 5”. Currently I’ve been at Apple as a lead electrical engineer for little less than 2 years and was prevously at Intel for 7 years ( total around 10 years of electrical enginnering and hardware development experience). Currently my comp is 163k base, 200k unvested rsu and other usual stuff like bonus, 401k matching, ESPP, health insurance etc. Zoox hiring coordinator told me there are no bonuses so most of comp is base salary ( they will also offer equity but IPO is 3-4 years away). Advice on base salary and grade level/title that I should try to negotiate would be appreciated.
I'd like to know this as well

They offered me a base of $185k, RSU 32k units ($350k/4 years; of course worth nothing until there’s an IPO), 10k joining bonus. There’s no annual bonus or 401k matching since all money comes from investors. What do people think about this offer given my experience ?
I have no idea about what hw engineers make. But it sounds a pretty good offer for a startup I think.
They are offering RSU? That means they are giving you shares to which you’ll pay taxes on?
