Got an offer from AWS for the cloud support engineer I role. How is the offer?

TC: 130k
Base: 103k Bonus: 24k/20k RSU: 21 units
YOE: 3

I gave them my desired comp (TC 130k - 100k/20k/10k-rsu) before interview. Should I still negotiate?

I’m also waiting for an update from MSFT which I interviewed 3 weeks ago! (Haven’t heard anything from them after interview)

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Update:

Reached out to MSFT, didn’t get the offer, but negotiated with Amazon
New TC 140k

Update from Msft will give you extra leverage. Pressure them a little bit if they don't already know you have an offer from amzn

In your case, this might not strengthen your position because they may counter "we have better benefits (e.g. better 401k matching) than Amazon"
Use whatever leverage you can get. Remember TC is not the only bargain chip you have, you can use remote vs in-office and kind of benefits you get to bargain for higher TC and vice versa

Once you start with amazon.then there is no salary hike for next four year.. they will match inflation also

And how do you ask them to match inflation? Just say there’s serious inflation going on?

A lesson you will learn as you gain more experience is to NEVER tell them what you're looking for.

They gave you exactly what you wanted, so why would they negotiate? Always let them make the first move and go from there.

We've all made the mistake. And it's hard to keep telling a recruiter "you're open to whatever they offer" or "we'll talk about numbers" later.

If it's ok to ask, how much base salary did they agree to eventually?

Thanks for sharing. I'd be happy with 140TC. If you could break it down that would be even better
