Nvidia vs Intel vs AMD expectations

Expecting offers from all the above companies coming week.

Nvidia - at Santa Clara - Software Engineer

Intel - at Santa Clara / Folsom - Senior Software Engineer (location to choose)

AMD- at Austin, TX - Senior Software Engineer

What to expect for

1. the numbers,
2. levels
3. WLB respectively

    I don’t know the answer to your question. But for software engineering, I would expect Nvidia to have much better talent than the other 2.

      That is such a misguiding response! How do you really decide that without knowing teams, culture, manager , projects , role requirements!!!

    Intel, amd etc. are in same league as other hw companies.
    Amd is a bit better with stock appreciation but they don't give out a lot of stocks.

    Nv and apple are like fangs in terms of comp for hw companies.

    Other factors like wlb, kind of work, culture are team dependent and tbh one can't understand in the interviews because everyone presents a rosy picture, unless you have worked with some people in that team before.

    But i would say going from Nv to intel or amd is perhaps easier compared to other way round.

    WLB depends on the team to be honest. Most teams have a decent balance. Based on YoE: IC4 seems reasonable.

    CEO really cares about the company and its employees. Stock is doing pretty good, so can't complain!
