I built a Lenovo workstation at home, 48 GB RAM with 6TB SSD and NVIDIA RTX. I want to be able to remote into it and not carry it everywhere because of weight.

Considering performance and battery life, and price, what will you recommend? iPad Pro, Surface Pro, Chromebook or MacBook Pro 13?

It may not be a factor due to your use case, but if youre thinking of using remote desktop DO NOT use a mac. Windows RDP is soooooooooo much better than any other remote desktop option. VNC is utter trash by comparison.

  • I remote regularly into a windows machine from my Mac and I would not recommend it because the shortcut are messed up because of the different keyboard layout.
If you only use your mouse to navigate whatever will work. If not you should get a windows laptop it will make your life easier.
