Btw- they added a level above GSR8 last year. A SME like role.
If you are early in career it probably makes more sense to jump ship for salary boost tho. Cuz I doubt the gsr9 positions get much of a boost compared to literally doubling your pay at Amazon.
For me I've come to the conclusion Im rotting away at Ford to be honest. I feel like all the work I do here is ultimately pointless. Lots of PowerPoint, Excel, and meetings.
That and while wage growth for me has been okay per year it's still not keeping pace with what I can achieve by leaving.
That and I'm afraid if I stay much longer I actually won't have marketable skills so form a long term personal development perspective I don't think it's doing great things for me.
Having said that.... Some of my experiences at Ford were a blast and wlb has generally been really good. Right now for example I don't have much pressure on me.
Be consistent but polite. Send a follow up every few days if you don't hear back.
At least that was my experience at one point.
