The question is: Do you care about driving experience or not? RAV 4 drives like a numb appliance, with zero personality, and the interior is a buttons galore mess.

The Mazda is both more elegant and drives slightly better.

They both have the same usability, but the RAV4 is slightly larger while the CX5 is a slightly better driver. Try them both, and decide.

  • Same dilema, op which city are you in maybe we can talk.

Rav4 I really like panaromic glass roof and I am opting for hybrid xse vs cx5 premium plus.

Let me know what you are thinking.

Rav4 hybrid xse is like 40k msrp
    Cx5 - 36k msrp

Cx5 drives better with premium interiors
    Rav4 seems like more sturdy

    Cx5 no cabin noise
Rav4 hybrid less noise in city but more noise at highway

    Cx5 leather interior
Rav4 some stupid soft trim interior

    Cx5 less storage space
    Rav4 more space

    Cx5 7.5 inch ground clearance
    Rav4 8.1 inch ground clearance

Cx5 heated back seat and ventilated front seats
Rav4 heated seats only with options

    Much more... Tired of writing....

That cabin noise kills this great vehicle. Regret getting my Rav4 because of it

I’ve not owned a rav4 or a cx5, but I’ve owned a 4Runner and a CX-3 and I have to say that Toyota is a muuuuuch higher quality vehicle with far fewer problems in my personal experience.

RAV4 for sure - better quality, cheaper repairs/parts, rear seats are more roomy, better resale price.
