Applied for a Sr/non Sr Customer Engineer role on the federal side. I've 11 years experience in the field and they offered the following below. Recruiter verbally said they could easily hit $250k TC, maybe more, below it looks like the first year will be $230K, year 2/3/4 probably around $205-215k after target bonus and RSU
$155k Base
$25k Sign on
$50k on hire stock (4 years)
15% yearly bonus for holding clearance (percentage not in offer, but bonus is unofficially stated, percent can be found online)
Target performance bonus seems like its 10%, since i was offered a Customer Engineer role (Not Sr, therefore i believe this is a Level 62 position).
How do i get them to get me closer to that $250k+ TC number? It seems i have a low on hire stock. Recruiter said id probably get $75k on hire, i was hoping to negotiate to $100 to $125k on hire, but they started me at $50k on hire. #microsoft #offer
EDIT:
Turns out she says the target bonus is 20%, so $31k target
TC would be $246,750
After 1st year that drops to $221,750, plus i'd have to travel a good bit.
