I am moving from a smaller privately heals org into NVIDIA, my first gig at publicly traded large organization. So my question might be naive. I have referred to blind glossary for newbies but still
I am not clear.
In my current and previous work places when I work hard and show progress I was rewarded with Cash bonus and annually they gave me salary hikes by certain percentage of my current salary. This is all straight forward.
I am entering this RSU world for first time and I understand my offer pretty well it’s clear
1) they give me X amount of salary.
2) RSUs worth of Y amount with 1 year cliff and there after they Vest on specific time period which means I own Y/4 at end of year 1.
3) there is ESPP and I will be able to purchase stock at discounted rate on quarterly basis. Then there is look back program and which makes it complicated.
I was told as I am joining mid year I will be too early to review in June-July so I will have to wait out 18 months before I see my first annual refreshers.
What does that mean? How does annual refresher work? Do I get more stock at that point ? When will that Vest ?
Will there be any salary hikes apart from annual refreshers?
ESPP seams to be complicated by it self with 2 year look back, will I be able to look back to before I joined or my look back period works from the point I joined the company ?

There will be increase to salary apart from refreshers based on your performance
Annual refreshers will get you more stock and will have same vesting rules as the initial rsu you got. 1 year cliff, then vesting quaterly or whatever the schedule is.
