Is an air fryer worth it? Are they any good? My wife is opposed to adding more stuff to our kitchen but I have a golden opportunity. She wants to replace the toaster oven and I'm hoping to get an air fryer toaster oven combo. But is it worth it? If so which one?
Air fryers are fucking amazing. Marinate some meat and throw it in the air fryer, it’s restaurant quality
If you have an instant pot you can get an air fryer attachment. I think the brand we got is Mealthy? It’s on Amazon. It takes up less space than an air fryer and still can try it out
Yeah I showed that to her. She didn't seem convinced itll work. I'll try again.
We did some breaded chicken and turned out great, that’s as far as we have gotten with it so far
I have t-fal actifry, love it
Is it true you can cook food from when its totally frozen. If so how does it taste?
I tried to cook shrimps that way. Wasn't bad, but I would still thaw them before cooking
It works great with fried food that’s been frozen
Buy the one that has stainless steel interior pan.
Who knows? Is Blind becoming Wirecutter or something? Why are you here? TC or GTFO!
I like mine I’ve made a lot of good stuff in it. Agree that some things won’t taste the same as being fried (wontons specifically).
Makes some amazing fucking chicken wings
Ive heard good things about the Ninja Foodi, otherwise yeah it’s a large space commitment which is likely not worth it.
Mine is sitting idle, doesn't taste even close to regular fried food. I decided to eat fried food less frequently but I eat it properly fried whenever I do
That's the spirit
Exactly how I felt. It was meh. Maybe 70-80% there. I rather have it fried.
