They pulled up some totally borked code and asked me to identify all the problems.
Basically, they verified I know to pass objects to a method as a const reference, know how to manage memory/know why it’s bad to return the raw pointer owned by a uniqueptr, I know how to use various cpp 11 features, etc.
It’s really nice, I know a lot of cpp stuff and it’s an easy win if you have the skills. It’s easy to study, the google cpp style guide or the core cpp guidelines are enough for that.
