I have been invited to an interview in the DC metro area at Amazon for a software dev position. I might relocate for it. Do they fly one in for the interview or do I have to pay for it myself? I’d need at least until the end of the year so that I can move. Will they wait until then? how does the interview usually work? they said it’s 4 hours. and, what would a reasonable salary expectation be up there? right now im at $145k/year + benefits. no stocks etc. background: BS/MS Computer science 5+ years of development exp kotlin, java, mongodb, kubernetes, docker, various sql, git, various CIs, ansible, kafka lots of GCP

I have a partial answer: yes they would be paying for you to fly in. Yes they would wait until the end of the year (most likely, depends on team and hiring need)
Thank you!
Also for what the interview will be like and salary expectation it might help to give context on your background so people will know what role you are interviewing for. Good luck
