hello guys, I interviewed last Wednesday 02/12 at NYC for SDM position. Emailed the recruiter after 5 days and she emailed back stating that they are waiting for more information and will get back to me as soon as they have an update. Not sure what to make out of it. I thought the standard response time is 5 days after onsite. TC 250K YOE 20+

Likely just a scheduling issue getting everyone on a call or meeting to make a decision. Politely push the recruiter for a decision and don’t read too much into it.
Probably so as half of the interview panel was from Seattle and rest from NYC. Will ping the recruiter in a couple of days again
This sounds like it The 5 day rule is not set in stone - it’s what the company strives to do in 99% of the cases
Positive decision in my experience come down within 24 hours;
I agree for other companies, not sure about amazon. I had to follow up with recruiter after the phone interview to move ahead in the interview process
I also got a positive within the morning of the next business day That doesn’t mean too much other than they knew I had offers in hand and more coming that week so they rushed the panel
The decision not-to-hire is so varied and screwed that sometimes i get an offer and then I don’t get a start-date; but then again i have a new project every year and sometimes two at the same time;
It probably means that it’s not a easy decision for them to make based on your performance. You neither did too good nor too bad. I recently (3 months ago) interviewed with them and they told me the decision same day within few hours of the interview. Good luck! Hope you get it.
Typically positive decisions come down within 24 hour period
Thanks. I thought it was 50/50. The BR interview probably was the best of all, but never know.
