I left amazon almost two months ago. As per the contract i need to pay back the relocation. But they never send mail to collect it. Anybody knows why? My resignation is voluntary.
Companies don’t track to get it. Too much work involved. That’s free money
Your relocation package is peanuts for Amazon. Collecting those $$$ would cost Amazon more than what you owe them. Don’t worry about it until they ask you to shell out those $$$.
Better pay them upfront right now rather than waiting for the interest to start kicking in. You signed a contract so its upto you to pay it back
Interest?!? Really?
Everyone has that clause in their relocation.
It’s fairly unlikely they will exercise that clause, but I am not a lawyer and you are asking a legal question
Should have got PIP instead, they forgive all that money and you also get severance.
PIP doesn’t give severance. Atleast in MSFT where my brother got PiPed
The shit that goes on leading up to PIP at Amazon is quite nasty so they offer a big chunk of money for people to not fight back and just voluntarily leave.
OP, did you get any communication from Amazon to pay back the relo ?
No, no payback is needed
OP did amazon chase you? Also how long where you at amazon before leaving? (Asking bc I think post 2 years it’s 100% forgiven and I’m at Amzn but want to leave)
No, no payback is needed
@op did you leave after working at amaozn for 2 years?
They WILL come atcha’ Set the money aside and be prepared to give back when they ask for it.
