Hello,
I'm currently ending my junior year for undergrad about to enter senior year. I didn't manage to get accepted into my schools Masters program so I'm wondering what I should be doing now. I've historically prioritized my self coding projects and Hackathon's over schools so grades not the best but I've had an internship at T-Mobile and this summer I will be at Cisco.
I want to get into the bay area so next year I will probably apply to Uber, Airbnb, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and other top tech companies. I know I need to be grinding on Leetcode this summer to pass the interviews, this year I got interviews with Google and Facebook but didn't get through all the coding questions so I know what I need to improve on.
My real question is how important is a masters degree in CS for me to move through the corporate ladder at those kind of companies above, will i receive a hard block at any time for not having a masters degree, is it something I should be prioritizing in the next few years?
